Cookie Policy

Version 1.0, last updated 1 October 2026

In short: the website sets no cookies at all. The app uses only the cookies it needs to sign you in and keep you secure, and records sessions only if you allow it. No advertising, no tracking.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Websites can also store information in your browser in other ways, such as “local storage”. This policy covers both.

2. Our website: no cookies

The public website at decabooks.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Our fonts are served from our own website, so no third party learns that you visited.

3. The DecaBooks app: only what it needs

The app at app.decabooks.com uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for you to sign in, use your workspaces and stay secure. Under section 99(5) of Cyprus Law 112(I)/2004 and the EU ePrivacy rules, these do not need your consent. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Browser storage in the app

  • Interface preferences and drafts, such as which parts of the chart of accounts you have folded away, or a form you have not saved yet. These stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
  • Your recording choice, so the app remembers whether you allowed session recording. This is needed to respect your choice.
  • Session recording by Sentry, only if you allow it. It keeps a session identifier in your browser while you use the app so it can link a fault to what happened before it. The app asks you first, and you can withdraw at any time in Settings, under Profile. See our Privacy Policy.

5. Pages run by others

When you pay for a subscription, you do so on pages run by Stripe, which sets its own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. See Stripe’s cookie policy for details.

6. Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the app’s necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in. Questions? Write to hello@decabooks.com.
